face series
This series of meticulously hand-painted work deals with pop iconography, ironic duality and satirical juxtapositions. Portraying famous and infamous cultural icons and public figures inter-layered with one another, these resin coated acrylic and enamel paintings challenge the viewer to visually decipher the image while making the sardonic, metaphorical and sometimes philosophical connections within.

flag series
A series of resin coated acrylic and enamel paintings depicting flag or pennant designs of invented symbolism influenced by traditional Asian artwork and military banners.  The symbols emblematize pure states of being, qualities, or attributes while the paintings' titles define their respective virtue enhanced to an impossibly superlative degree. This concept is a glimpse into the future and statement on today’s society and its ever-growing desire for everything bigger and better and the insatiable need for more.

circle series
Selections from the 2007 circle (tondo) series.

“Of all emblems, the circle or “tondo” is the most soaked with meaning.  From the dimmest pre-history, it has symbolized the sun, whose power, in one disguise or another, flows through all matter.  It represents, too, the seed and the cell, the head, the halo and the corona, bodily orifices, Zodiac wheels, the earth, the eye, and the egg, the unbroken cycle of life and the continuity of consciousness.”     -Tom Robbins
