Colorbandz™ - As seen on TV!!!
This work is an experiment in the distillation of identity - capturing the essence of a person with as little figuration as possible, to graphically represent the human visage with none of the traditional clues. They're Atari-like, minimalist portraits - reduced even from pixels into bands of color. They're about motion, they're about our hectic modern lives, they're about the fast pace we all have had to run to catch up with, and, like much of my work, they are about recognition.
